Platforms :
ICMS is designed using a traditional client/server approach or a thin
client solution Metaframe/Citrix.
Space and Sizing Requirements:
Workstation Memory and Processor Requirements:
Workstation requirements for ICMS will vary somewhat by configuration
and the degree that the user has other applications running at the same
time as ICMS. A pentium class workstation or better is required, with
200mh processor or better. Windows 95, 98 workstations should have a minimum
of 64 mb Ram. Windows 2000 or NT 4.0 workstations should have a minimum
of 128 mb Ram.
Disk Space Sizing Requirements:
- Workstations: The ICMS program takes 100 mb on the local workstation.
Local tables and help files kept at the workstation need another 12mb.
- Server: Disk space sizing for the server is very dependent
on the number of cases and the retention period desired.
- General Guidelines: Disk space needed at server 100 mb shared
or dedicated is dictated by each client
ODBC Connections:
To access the Microsoft or Oracle Relational Data Base Management Systems,
ICMS uses a standard Open Data Base Connectivity (ODBC) interface. This
standardizes the connections between the workstation and server and makes
it easier to match specific user environments.
